Sketch Batch Two

Here's a second batch of mini painting sketches from the Kimberley Glyder designed notebook. They are all plays on Frank Zappa and the Mothers song titles.

COLLABORATION

I'm very excited to announce that the Sheldon Fogelman Agency will be representing me in the children's book market. Sean McCarthy is the agent that I will be working with. I'm excited and honored to be joining a roster of illustrators/writers that include Mo Willems and Jerry Pinkney.

BEAT TRAIN SOUND SYSTEM

I've blogged about this before, so excuse the repeats. But I had posted about this site before it was live. I gave these guys a bunch of drawings and let them do whatever they wanted with them. I think they did a fantastic job. Check them out here.

I feel like it's raining all over the world

I received a couple really cool calendar/organizer/sketchbooks from a good friend and talented designer Kimberly Glyder

I'm attempting to fill them with little bits of sketch awesomeness. Or at least, something moderately pretty. Here's the first few, no pencil marks, just brush and pen to paper with zero planning.

IT'S BLEAK OUT THERE

This East Coast January weather is killing me.

RESOLUTIONS

All day (and Night!) long, these guys stare down at me while I am doing other things. What you can't see in this photo are all their unfinished friends.
Not enough hours in the day it seems.
One of my resolutions this year is to unite them with their blank brothers and sisters.
